"She wore far too much rouge and not enough clothes." -Wilde

Oh, the awful things I'd do to go back to my old ways and the days where I'd be out every night of the week.
When I'd get all dolled up to go to sunset with a friend or two to some fancy french restaurant and pretend we were famous.
If only it were those lovely simple wreckless times when no matter how sober I was, I was never wearing half of my clothes in the middle of our artsy parties and to them it was just the usual.
I wasn't some fall from grace or anything as sudden as that.
It was just a long falling out of absolutely everyone from that beautiful, ethereal, hollywood-esque group of teenagers who couldn't handle their drinking or drugs or sex under wraps from the others.
We were the real-life Skins.
We were the brat-pack of 2006-2008.
And I miss the hell out of that.

On a more humorous note, I'm pretty sure I'm getting carpel tunnel.

"Autumn is a second spring where every leaf is a flower" -Camus

I'm wishing it would hurry up and really be fall here.
I want to wear sweaters and cardigans and boots and layered dresses and all that.
Or be able to wear them without them being drenched through before I leave the house.
I normally don't go by these, but ALL of my horoscopes from magazines have said this month is going to be really great and i'll be busy, socially, which I hope to god is true considering how reclusive and depressed i have been the past month or two.
Come on fall!
Bring me cool air and love and happy moments!

All of this should be made much easier by me (HOPEFULLY) getting my license tomorrow, and my car soon!
I'm going to do so much aimless wandering.

"He enjoys true leisure who has time to improve his soul's estate" -Thoreau

Leisure and relaxation are the words of the week, which incidently, has been hectic.
There is nothing quite like a ciggarette, a book with old words, and some good french madelines in tea to calm the nerves at night and put you at perfect ease.
A lot of people say material possessions can't make you happy, but I respectfully disagree.
After tonight I've realized I need to be unattached for awhile and just breathe.
I'm hardly 19 (cough seventeen days till my birthday). I have the rest of my life to worry about things like work, school, and relationships. For now, I need to just float.

Oh, for a life in an old house where the rain shakes every window.
Where I could play dress up all day and climb onto the roof and look at the night.
Oh, for somewhere where you can see stars and the weather drops below 70f.

But most of all I long for that grimy dirty cold lonely city where it rains when it's not freezing into snow and the subway is warmer than your apartment in the winter.
I can even hardly fathom how much I miss that place.

"Isn't elegance forgetting what one is wearing?" -YSL

I have the strong feeling, due to my lack of friends and my re-claimed love of writing and drawing so consistently, that by the end of this semester I'll have become one of those pent up recluses who travels alone and focuses on nothing but their craft.

I need change, so badly. I feel like if, by the new year, I'm still as thoroughly unhappy in California as I am now, I'm going to go back to New York. There I can handle being lonely because walking around at night alone in Times Square is far from depressing-- it's exhilarating. I love it.
I want a lack of clothes.
I want thin softness
I want laziness.
I want that slow unintentional elegance.

Does anyone know where I can order these French macaroons online?
Perhaps a site that has an english option, maybe?

Practice random beauty and senseless acts of love.

So my best friend left for Portland today, and seeing as I have all of about 3 good friends left here in damned LA, you guys will be seeing a lot more of me.
I just want it to be beautiful fall already so I can spend those half cold nights on park swings, rolling around in the grass, taking off my clothes and jumping into freezing pools.
I want to be all lovely and perfect with classy jackets and torn tights and someone to hold hands with.
I'd love to run around, free and able to breathe in cool air.
I want everything to be pretty and wonderful again, like it gets when it's not hot out.

Also, though I may hate to admit it, I have this new found girl crush on Alexa Chung.
It's impossible to not like her style.
You have to admit, the girl can dress.
