Good Morning San Diegoooooo!

SD is incredible. All my of roommates are extremely nerdy fencers.
The weather (with the exception of it being 107 out today) is spectacular.
I've found a job as a waitress at Souplantation (one of my favorite restaurants.)
I'm being fairly good with my diet, still no shoes for me yet.

And the biggest news of all:
I AM GOING TO FRANCE/ GERMANY/ AND ENGLAND FOR 10 DAYS THIS WINTER.
(heads up, Kirsten!)
My mom, on a whim of niceness, has decided that we're going to have a ten day tour of Europe, meaning I'm going to save every penny from my new job (that doesn't go towards my rent) for shoes and dresses at the Paris Flea Market and Topshop.
i have never been more excited, and never more determined to study my French.
Wine tasting, Versaille, shopping, the musee d'Lourve, musee d'Orsay, Germany (though i'm not sure what to do there yet).
Parliament, Tower of London, Edinbrough, Hyde Park, and the cafe where JK Rowling wrote, the Globe Theatre.
If any of you have suggestions of things to do whilst there, send them my way!

And now to make this quick, because I start work in an hour, here are some lovely pictures for the week = ]
I'm hoping we'll have internet at the apartment soon, Starbucks coffee is getting expensive.

San Diego, Here I Come

So it's official, I am moving to San Diego on Wednesday. UHaul is rented, things are being packed, and the excitement is building.
I have yet to meet my roommates, but from what I hear they are three nerdy fencers, so all should work out perfectly.

My friend, Mina came to visit this weekend, and it was filled with dancing, smoking, Skins, a boy from New Zealand, and a foam party, which we walked home from covered in soap head to toe. Pizza and "Monty Python" has never been so good.

I'm so excited to start anew in SD, where everything is lovelier, more jobs are to be found, and I actually have friends.
Wish me luck?

Oh Valley, How I Love Thee.

This weekend was wonderful, drinking twice, smoking every night, and being surrounded by my friends again.
My dinner party went exceedingly well, the menu of which was as follows:
-French Onion Soup
-Quiche
-Bruchetta
-Lemon Fussili with Arugula
-Raspberry cake with buttercream frosting.
-LOTS of red wine and apple cider.

Coming back to Claremont was hard to do, especially after some rather unpleasant things I found out my roommate had said about me recently. And as finding a job out here is impossible, There's a good chance I'm moving to either San Diego, New York, or back to Atlanta soon, as I have wonderful friends who need roommates and there are lots of available jobs nearby.
I Hope all of you are doing lovely.

Back to the Valley for the weekend

EDIT: OH MY GOD, LANVIN IS DOING A COLLECTION FOR H&M. Coming in November. I could not be more anxious for winter to come.
I'm going back to the valley for the weekend to house sit for my mom, and am very excited to be throwing another dinner party for my friends.
I finally, for the first time in my life, have been able to run a mile in under ten minutes, and this morning ran three miles!

Trying my best to stick to my diet, not working out so well, I've gained about five pounds since I moved here and accidently just ate a box of Trader Joe's cookies whilst watching "Sense and Sensibility"
Wish me luck, again?

New month, new start

I know I just wrote Sunday, but I'm feeling a bit talkative this week.
I taught myself to ride a bike, got my library card, and have fixed my bike basket (which insisted on flying off at ever possible bump, with ALL of my things in it and scattering into the road) with a great deal of ribbon.
I'm eating healthier and more mindfully, and either working out, riding my bike, or dancing everyday.
As extra incentive and motivation to stay healthy and lose the weight, I've set up reward systems for myself. At a five pound loss, I'll buy myself a lovely new pair of shoes (you guys help me choose, please!) and at ten (or when I'm back to happy, which ever comes first) I'll have a small shopping spree to celebrate!

Things are going very, very well, now if only I would hear back about jobs.
