Working for the Weekend

Since last Sunday, I have work nine hours a day, every day, and will do so until next Monday.
I'm physically and mentally exhausted, but my best friend is finally back home, two blocks away, so it's ok.
My diet has gone out of the window (especially now that my friend is home, due to her excellent cooking).
I do nothing but read, work, read at work, and go to A's house. Which, honestly, is pretty alright.

June Ungloom.

So far, June has been the loveliest month so far.
I'm reading constantly, working and making (though not much saving) money.
One of my best friends comes home from college on Sunday, and my other best friend is coming to visit LA for the first time ever, from Georgia, in two weeks.

Life is good.

These are a few of my favorite things

I've finished TWO (rather witty) scholarship essays today, got the week's grocceries from Trader Joes (all healthy!) and have already been to the bank to look into (oh no!) student loans.
I'd like to thank the staff of starbucks, my ugly cut-off sweatpants, and my glasses.

That hostile head time.

I'm going from calm happiness to fairly awful emotions this week, I'm not entirely sure why.

I finished my Agatha Christie book, along with "Breakfast at Tiffany's" (Capote).
Now I'm working my way through Le Morte d'Arthur.

Mind Making

New York was good. I met up with a good friend and we explored almost all of Central Park.
We found the Belvedere Castle. We walked though strawberry fields to the sound of "Come Together" being played by a bunch of strangers with guitars and the smell of weed drifting out of bushes.
I had some truly wonderful pizza and sat in Grand Central and read for awhile.
But for some reason, after doing all of the things I wanted, I'm not sure if i want to live there next year afterall.

I also lost my two favorite rings on the bathroom sink of Dylan's Candy Bar Monday night.
Take me to some place magical again?

Let me go back to excitement.
And let me get rid of this goddamn flu.

New York in the Springtime

I'm going to New York for the weekend to check out my new school and catch up with some old friend.
Going to explore more of Central Park and hear the rain and read.
The only problem, however, is that Dunkin Donuts will be easily accessable.
It will be my downfall.

Cereal and Whimsy

Things are going well again.
I FINALLY finished the Odyssey and my diet is going pretty ok.
Now working on Sherlock Holmes, and planning a friend's birthday party.

Time to be happy = ]
